Facing Time

Drone & on person camera

In July 2022, Nico and Adrian set a new record on the Swiss Skyline and crossed the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau in 13 hours and 8 minutes - the route for this required more than 4780 m. But how far are they willing to go for a record , and what does time really mean to them? In “Facing Time,” the two professional alpinists share their thoughts on balancing the importance of the record, the risks of speed climbs, and why it’s about more than just a time. In the icy cold, in the middle of the night and in a gigantic morning atmosphere, you only have this one chance. Using live tracking, we knew how fast the two athletes were moving. For this shoot, we controlled the cameras attached to the two athletes from a distance and accompanied them on the spectacular Eigergrat with the drone. An epic mood at over 4000 m above sea level.
